This lovely doll is marked Eden Bebe and measures 25 inches tall. She has a perfect, good quality bisque head with large, fixed blue paperweight eyes, pierced ears, original cork pate and real hair wig. Her body is just a little playworn with a bit of chipped paint to the fingers etc., but otherwise is in quite good condition. She wears a vintage dress and underwear and a pretty bonnet. She dates around 1890.

This pretty Jumeau child doll is 25 inches tall, has a perfect good quality bisque head with fixed blue paperweight eyes, heavy brows, pierced ears, original cork pate, and a replacement brown hair French wig with lots of wringlets. Her body is in quite good condition, although there has been a bit of restoration to the back of one leg due to peeling paint.

This has been sympathetically done and does not really notice unless you look for it. Her hands have possibly been replaced at some time and are slightly later Jumeau ones, again not obvious. Her dress is lovely and original, with lace and tucks, and is mostly hand sewn. Her shoes and hat are also antique. She has the face of an early Jumeau doll, and she dates around 1890.

This French character doll is in excellent condition. She has a perfect bisque head with rosy cheeks, her original card pate and real hair wig. She has open close blue glass eyes, with nearly all their eyewax and eyelashes, (there is a small bit of wax missing from one eyelid). Her fully jointed toddler body has the odd mark on it but is almost mint. She wears vintage clothing, and I just love the cloche hat. She is a perfect size at 21” and dates around 1920.

This SFBJ 60 child doll measures 26 inches and has a perfect bisque head which is excellent quality. She has open close lovely blue glass eyes with all her eyelids and eyelashes intact and her cheeks are rosy. She has her original card pate and a replacement real hair wig. I have the original wig to go with her although it is a little scruffy.

Her original body is an earlier SFBJ one and not the later one with big thighs. It is in good condition although there is some chipped paint around the wrist area. She was bought privately and her name is Georgina. She still wears the clothes I bought her in, although the shoes and an extra petticoat have been added. She dates around 1910.

This ABG character baby, mould number 1361, is excellent quality and measures just over 22 inches. She has a perfect bisque head with pierced nostrils and open close blue glass eyes which have fully waxed eyelids. Her card pate is original. Her auburn mohair wig is a replacement and matches her eyebrows well. The modelling and quality of her head are really good. She has a replacement mama box at the back of her body, and although the work has been fairly sympathetically done, it is obvious.

The mama mechanism does however work, and is rather loud. There is also a repair to her body around one leg opening which does not really show. The rest of her body is in good condition, a bit grubby in places, but with no broken fingers etc., and it does have its original patina. She dates around 1920.

This early Armand Marseille 390 is totally original and is very good quality. Her head and body are perfect. She is 20 inches tall, has fixed wrists, and all her original clothes, shoes, socks, wig etc. Her eyes retain all their original eyewax and lashes. I have restrung her but not cleaned her. She dates around 1900.

The head on this doll was made in Germany for the French Market and assembled, probably in the Jumeau factory. This one has a perfect good quality bisque head with lovely colouring, fixed spiral eyes and heavy brows. There is a pimple of bisque at the top of the forehead under the wig, and one eye is slightly larger than the other. These things I have mentioned for accuracy. They do not notice without close scrutiny, and do not devalue her at all.

She has her original old card pate and a replacement real hair French wig. Her body is in good condition with no damage but has surface wear in places. It is a good quality, chunky French one. She dates around 1900 and is a very lovely doll.

Measuring 30 inches tall, this Heinrich Handwerk Child doll, head by Simon and Halbig, is in good condition. Her bisque head is perfect, good quality and has lovely pale colouring. She retains all her eyelashes, has open close brown glass eyes, and pierced ears.

Her blonde real hair wig is a replacement. Her body apart from the usual playwear, a repaired finger, and a little restoration around the neck socket (not really noticeable) is excellent. The body has the Heinrich Handwerk stamp. She dates around 1910.

The number on the back of this dolls head is 192, and is attributed to Kestner according to the Kestner book by Jan Foulk. I think there is no doubt about this. The head is excellent quality and colouring, and is perfect.

The doll makes a superb boy and although the clothes are not antique, they suit him very well. He has his original card pate and real hair wig.

His body is mostly in good condition although it has the usual playwear. His fingers have some cracking at the top of them. He comes with old bunny, measures 30 inches, and dates around 1910.

This stunning 1907 Jumeau child doll measures 30 inches. She has a perfect bisque head which is good quality and colouring.

She has open close blue paperweight eyes, pierced ears, a replacement cork pate and French real hair wig. She has a couple of repaired fingers and there is some repainting to the hands and lower arms. The rest of the body has its original finish, and is in reasonably good condition.

She wears a dress which was bought in Paris and looks vintage. She also wears lots of underwear. She dates around 1907.

This gorgeous 1907 Jumeau child doll measures almost 31 inches and has a perfect bisque head. The colouring and quality of the bisque is excellent. She has fixed blue paperweight eyes, pierced ears, a replacement cork pate and French, real hair wig.

Her body has been repainted at some time, but looks to have been done many years ago, and the colour and patina are good. She wears lots of clothing and underwear and is a very impressive doll. She dates around 1907.

The heads on these dolls are attributed to Simon and Halbig, and made for, and assembled in the Jumeau factory. This one has the red ‘Tete Jumeau’ stamp on the back of her head, and the ‘Bebe Jumeau’ label on the back of her body. Her head is perfect, and she has brown paperweight open close eyes.

Her eyelids are in good condition, but most of her lashes are missing. Her ears are pierced, and her real hair wig is original. The body is very good, although the hands have been repainted, there is evidence of some toe repair, and there are a few small areas of paint peel.

This all sounds worse than it is, but is mentioned for accuracy. She wears lots of clothing, and a Jumeau band on her arm as you can see. She measures 20 inches tall, dates around 1910, and is very pretty.
